These counters adjust their speed throughout the day, week, and year according to trends and publicly available data. Each counter is individually built and tuned.

  1. Based on $2.376 billion in annual U.S. spending on e-bikes and accessories, adjusted for time of year (holidays etc.), day of week, time of day, with weighting done for busiest periods.
  2. Based on 2.4 million bikes stolen annually in the U.S., with 6,575 thefts occurring daily. Adjusted dynamically for time of day and day of week using weighted hourly and daily distributions to reflect real-world theft patterns. Depending on the time of day and day of week that you visit, this will mean a bike is stolen somewhere between every 8-37 seconds.
  3. Calculated based on 6,652,000 miles ridden daily on electric bikes and scooters in the U.S, and adjusted based upon the current hour of the day, day of week, month of the year.
  4. Based on average car costs of $0.15 per mile for gas, $0.10 per mile for maintenance, and $175 per month for insurance. E-bike costs are estimated at $0.03 per mile. Savings calculations are adjusted dynamically based on time of day and day of the week using data from #1, and include continuous insurance savings.
  5. Based on the average of 0.89 lbs of CO₂ saved per mile ridden compared to driving a car. This counter uses data calculated from the ‘miles ridden’ counter to determine how many people are likely riding at any given time.
